WHO AM I?

Hi, I’m Jazzmine, Jazz for short.

I am a qualified Complementary Therapist. VTCT, Level 3, Diploma in Complementary Therapies from Bridgend College, 2017, I am a full member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and a joint co-ordinator for the local Therapists Support Group for Cardiff and the District.  I am also a full member of another well respected, Government endorsed Association.   The Association of Physical & Natural Therapists (APNT).

I am fully insured, and I also have full Public Liability cover.

What is Complementary Therapy?

Complementary or Holistic Therapy is a system of alternative healthcare that helps with treating the whole person, not just the person’s symptoms or their disease. It can help to promote wellbeing and underlying health issues, as well as a reduction in stress.

I am also qualified in Cancer Care for Complementary Therapists.  Via the well respected and internationally known, Angela Green (Velinda Hospital) Teaching, September 2019.  I also work for Rowan Tree Cancer Care Charity as a self-employed Complementary Therapist.

I qualified in Reflexology with Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) at Cardiff Metropolitan University, June 2017. The course was taught by the multi-award winning Reflexologist, Sally Kay, BSc (Hons). Sally, runs courses internationally and teaches her technique of RLD to many Reflexology Practitioners. RLD has attracted national and international awards along with widespread recognition.  I’m also a Local Independent Consultant for Neal’s Yard Remedies (Blue Bottles).   I use Neal’s Yard products in my Therapy Treatments.

Looking forward to meeting you in the future.

Treatments that I offer are:

Massage:

Hand & Arm Massage

Having a hand massage is an excellent way to reduce joint pain and relax the muscles and joints in your arms and hands.

Leg & Foot Massage

Foot and leg massage will stimulate the blood flow to the very tips of the toes.

It also helps to reduce leg cramps and may help to stop restless legs. It will soothe and loosen stiff ankle joints.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is a relaxing holistic treatment that uses acupressure massage on the head, **face, neck and shoulders. It aims to rebalance your body's energies.  This form of massage focuses on the three higher "chakras" - mind, body and spirit and as such hits your energy epicentre.  The treatment can be done in a normal low back chair, seated.  Or can be carried out in a mobile Indian Head Therapist Chair.  The treatment can be done over clothes (not jumpers) or the removal of a blouse, shirt is recommended to gain maximum relaxation.  Please inform the therapist whether or not the use of a carrier oil or balm is acceptable to use during the treatment.

** PLEASE NOTE: (Not able to offer the facial section of this treatment now due to COVID-19 restrictions)

Cupping Massage

Bellabaci cup or cupping massage is a wonderful treatment for either sex. It is great for those that are suffering from tight and sore muscles, digestive disorders, joint pain, cellulite, headache, migraines, stretch marks and spider veins and loads of other conditions. Bellabaci is a modified version of the wonderful ancient treatment of cupping therapy.

Reiki

Reiki

The word Reiki itself translates to 'universal life energy' and is based on the belief that life energy flows through all living things.  The treatment is offered to a fully clothed client who is lying on a treatment bed or sitting comfortably in a supported chair.  Reiki is offered through a light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. The placement of the hands should never be felt as intrusive or inappropriate, as no pressure is applied.
